Muritai Manor is a charming Edwardian villa, a few minutes drive from the centre of Nelson, with expansive sea and mountain views. This beautiful house was built in 1903 by a local Nelson builder, and has spacious rooms, high ceilings, gleaming native timber floors and fine fireplaces. Having been lovingly restored and extended, the four in-house guest bedrooms maintain their historic charm, but also offer modern facilities such as en-suite bathrooms and free wireless internet.
The breakfasts here at Muritai Manor are a real treat: homemade bread, coffee and a hearty breakfast which often includes fresh eggs from local free range hens, bacon, local bratwurst sausages, blueberry pancakes, and in summer, luscious Nelson berry-fruits.
The Garden Room is a separate cottage in the garden, with its own private entrance, and is nestled among shrubs and trees. Being separate from the main house makes this an ideal room for honeymooners or those wishing to stay a little longer. The Garden Room also has a small kitchen area, and has a large brick patio with table and seating (and use of a barbecue if desired!).
At the end of your busy day exploring the delights of Nelson, relax in the spa pool, cool off in the solar-heated swimming pool, or simply enjoy the sea and mountain views.
