This is a great walk through the Fiordland National Park for those who want to experience the fabulous New Zealand scenery up close, but like some home comforts as well. This 3 day walk takes you from the snow capped mountains of the Southern Alps, through ancient rainforest, pristine rivers and lakes to the remote sand dunes, reef and surf of the rugged West Coast. The Hollyford Track require a reasonable level of fitness (but you don’t need to be a “hard-core” hiker). The guides on this walk are fabulous too – you can learn an incredible amount about the history of the region, early Maori and Pioneering families, and the local flora and fauna. And on top of that, have great food provided for you and stay in comfortable private lodges. Highly recommended!!
